OUR STORY
Hey there!
We're Drs. Richard and Meghan Sanders + we owe EVERYTHING we have today to chiropractic! After meeting during chiropractic school in 2013 followed by a few years of long-distance dating, we were joyfully married in May of 2017. As a husband/wife team, we get LOTS of quality time together. It's been an adventure + we are ready for more!
We enjoy being active with our son Dillon + dog Nelson, cooking at home, frequenting our favorite local places to eat, watching LSU or the Cubs win + spending time at the Sanders farm in Homer with family.
Our first office, Sanders Chiropractic in Haughton opened in August 2015 at it's same location where it is today. In 2018, Sanders Chiropractic Shreveport opened as a small studio office + in two years has grown to a full second practice. Now both SC Haughton and SC Shreveport offices are fully serving their communities + growing every day! We are so grateful of everyone who supports our family business.
Our goal has always been to bring chiropractic care to our community through quality care, education and service + we look forward to many years to come.

OUR TEAM
Richard Sanders, DC
Dr. Richard is well-rounded in adjusting techniques for all ages + conditions, but mainly works with ADULTS. He has treated elite-level athletes in sports such as baseball, soccer, professional rodeo, basketball, powerlifting, softball + boxing. He also works with a large number of military, first responders + health care workers. If what you do is creating issues in your body, Dr. Richard is ready to help!
Dr. Richard grew up in Homer, LA. He is an active member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana. He holds certification in Fascial Distortion Model, a soft-tissue technique. During college he played baseball for the LSUS Pilots, and during chiropractic school he competed in the Chiro Games in 2013 in co-ed softball.

Meghan Sanders, DC
Jason Paro, DC
Dr. Jason Paro joined our team in March of 2020 has quickly excelled. Dr. Jason sees patients in our Haughton office. He enjoys serving ADULTS + KIDS, helping people through injuries then working towards wellness. Dr. Jason has training in a multitude of chiropractic techniques, and spent his post-grad internship working with chiropractic patients through their post-operation rehabilitation.
Dr. Jason graduated from Captain Shreve high school and loves being back in NSLA. He enjoys spending his free time with wife + their dogs, and enjoys cheering for the LA Tech Bulldogs, Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.

Alexis Gabel, DC
Dr. Alexis Gabel joined our team in May of 2022 + quickly fit right in. She enjoys serving ADULTS + KIDS, as well as helping those who are working towards wellness. Dr. Alexis is Webster Technique Certified + is a member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association). Dr. Lexi served on the Student Senate while at Parker University. She has clinical experience with patients of all ages, and loves to help families get well.
Dr. Alexis graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 2015 where she cheered + played softball. She began her bachelors studies at University of Louisiana at Lafayette before transferring to Parker University to complete her bachelor's and doctorate degree. She is also the former Miss Shreveport 2019! She enjoys reading, playing co-ed softball, walking her dog Lady + eating any kind of potato dish.

Monica Evans
Office Manager
Without a doubt the MVP of our team, Monica has been serving Sanders Chiropractic as Office Manager since her start in 2019. Monica does everything from greeting our new patients as they call for the first time, to handling things like scheduling, insurance + daily office operations in both of our locations.
A Haughton local, Monica is well connected with the community + enjoys helping in times of need. She is a mom to her son Jared + has been married for 14 years. She spends her time outside of Sanders Chiropractic cooking at home, visiting family, crafting, working in the community + after school sports.
